About us
Green and Good is a central directory for sustainability content whose purpose is to inspire action. We started Green and Good for two reasons: to dispel the myth that one person cannot make a difference and to help people access information quickly so they can take immediate action. While it is true that one person cannot do everything, everyone can do something, and collectively, something significant. We want people to spend less time figuring out what to do and more time actually doing it.
As part of our commitment to helping people fight climate change and restore biodiversity, we took the decision to remove all unwanted distractions from our site. This means that we do not host advertisements, we do not have a social media presence and we will never email you (unless you ask us to), leaving you with more time to be green and good.
We hope you like our site and find it useful. We would love to hear from you so that we can continue to improve it. If you would like to leave feedback, please do so on our Contact Us page.
A bit about our founder...
Emma Howcroft
Emma is the Global Sourcing Sustainability Director of a Fortune 500 company in the life sciences industry. Her day job consists of leading her company’s sustainability efforts with a focus on the supply chain. In a previous role, she led a FTSE 100 company's position on sustainable plastics and mobilised the company to eliminate single-use plastics from their operations. She is a big proponent of empowering people to lead change themselves, and firmly believes that it is in everyone’s power to make a difference. Emma has a Master’s in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge and is passionate about helping procurement functions embed sustainability practices. She is an avid mycophile, spending much time capturing London’s mushrooms on camera. You can see her photos on www.mycologicalphotographer.com site.
